Messiah will once again participate in the Ripon College Back-to-School picnic on Wednesday, August 26th, 2018, beginning at 5:00pm. It is our turn this year to help supply the sloppy joes so we don’t need any other food donations. We could use some volunteers to go to the college to help with the food lines, visit with students, or clean up. A sign-up sheet is located on the table in the narthex at church.
Thanks to the volunteers who helped at the craft table during Cookie Daze, August 4, 2018. The children had fun making “God is Super” beaded necklaces. The volunteers included Char Fritsch, Shelley Swan, Sharon Kartheiser, Roxanne Casperson, and Pastor Fritsch.
Twenty-six thank yous for each of the walkers who participated in our first-ever LifeWalk on June 2, 2018. As you can see, even several children joined us on our 1.5 mile stroll to raise money for “A Place of Refuge”, a resident home in the Milwaukee area for pregnant women in crisis. Our goal was to raise $250, but the walkers brought in $555 on the day of the walk and other donations made at Sunday morning and Monday evening worship added another $112. So the grand total we will be sending to “A Place of Refuge” is $667! Thanks again to the walkers and donors.
